Hailing all the way from Tel-Aviv, Israel, Radeye has put himself on our radar with his recent remix of ‘Humble’
Originally by Kendrick Lamar, ‘Humble’ came to the EDM spotlight after Skrillex gave it his own remix earlier this year. An absolutely massive track, the remix has been given a remix by Israeli producer Radeye.
Radeye started his musical journey as a member of the band Royal Disco, but has since left to pursue his solo career – and we are sure glad he did.
When we asked why he chose to remix this absolutely massive tune, he had this to say: “I heard the first version of Skrillex remix of HUMBLE and instantly fell in love with the track. I heard it again 3 months ago when i was on stage with skrillex on the last event in Webster Hall in NYC and decided i have to give it more house vibes . So I started to work on the structure and as soon as skrillex dropped the track officially I finished the remix after 2 weeks.”
Right from the start, Radeye introduces his own signature sound to the track, preserving the original rap verses but with a whole new energy underneath. Sirens sound amidst thumping bass that is sure to get your heart pounding.
The build-up before the drop is seriously incredible, keeping the adrenaline pumping before breaking down into filthy, minimal bass that is sure to destroy dancefloors everywhere. High energy from start to finish, Radeye offers a remix that instantly feels both familiar and completely new. We expect to hear this one played out for months!
Radeye can also boast a remix of Steve Aoki’s ‘Light Years’, releases on Buygore, and even support from Skrillex himself, who played his track ‘Gnarly’ out on tour and on his OWSLA Radio. After hearing this remix, we can definitely see what all the fuss is about, and will definitely be keeping our eye on this talented producer.
