Monsters and Miracles, a one-man EDM project from Jackson, Mississippi, has just released a brand new single that has definitely put his name on the map

After taking nearly a decade off from making music to go to med school (yes, Monsters and Miracles is also a Family Medicine trained physician), this is the esteemed producer’s first release, despite having written over 300 songs.

Drawing inspiration from horror films of the 70s & 80s, ‘The Silk Road’ is a bold first release from the producer. Featuring the pop-infused vocals of MRS, the track is incredibly infectious – while the pop influence is definitely prominent, there is a darker undertone to the track that we find really enticing.

The lyrics, as well as their delivery, are both poetic and emotive, and are what really drew us to the track originally. ‘The Silk Road’ carries soft metal-esque vibes amidst heavy electronic production, making for a really unique atmosphere that we simply can’t get enough of.

Between alluring vocals, powerful lyrics, and a haunting yet beautiful energy, Monsters and Miracles has definitely left us more than intrigued – we can’t wait to hear what’s next from this talented one man act.

If you love the original, be sure to check out the Austin Leeds remix as well, giving the track a much more mellow, future bass feel.
